1. Not investment advice

hedg3 publishes market data, analyst rankings, and educational analysis. Nothing on this site or in the product constitutes personalized investment advice, a recommendation to buy or sell any security, or an offer of any financial product. All investment decisions are your own.

2. Not a broker-dealer or registered investment adviser

hedg3 is not a broker-dealer, a registered investment adviser, or a fiduciary. We do not execute trades, hold custody of funds, or accept brokerage credentials.

hedg3 operates as a bona fide publisher of impersonal market intelligence, relying on the publisher exclusion from the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 as clarified in Lowe v. SEC (1985).

3. Risk

Investing involves risk, including the possible loss of principal. Past performance does not guarantee future results. The information displayed on hedg3 may contain errors or be incomplete and is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

4. Trademarks and references

hedg3 is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or sponsored by any individual, fund, company, or government body referenced in our product. References to specific persons (e.g., Sen. Nancy Pelosi) or entities (e.g., Berkshire Hathaway Inc., Scion Asset Management LLC) reflect publicly-disclosed activity sourced from SEC filings and other public records. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

5. Real-time market data

Real-time options quotes on paid plans are provided via the Options Price Reporting Authority (OPRA) under subscriber agreement. Before accessing live options data, each subscriber attests to the OPRA Non-Professional Subscriber criteria and provides the subscriber record (name, address, employer, and job function) that OPRA record-keeping rules require us to maintain, together with a log of every acceptance, renewal, and revocation. The attestation is re-verified annually; you may revoke your agreement at any time from settings, and real-time options data ends immediately on revocation. Users without a current subscriber agreement see delayed data — end-of-day (previous close), never presented as real-time. Read the full agreement →

6. Reporting delays

Certain data displayed on hedg3 reflects statutory reporting windows: quarterly institutional holdings disclosures are reported with a delay of up to 45 days after quarter-end; congressional trade disclosures with a delay of up to 45 days; insider transaction filings within about two business days of the underlying trade.

7. Data sources

hedg3 aggregates data from public filings and licensed vendors: public-company, insider, institutional-holdings, and IPO disclosures via SEC EDGAR; congressional trade disclosures via Quiver Quantitative, with the U.S. House Office of the Clerk as a fallback source; federal lobbying and government-contract data via the U.S. Senate Lobbying Disclosure database and USAspending.gov; economic series via FRED (Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis); short interest and daily short-sale volume via FINRA; fails-to-deliver data via the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission; overnight US-equity session data from the Blue Ocean ATS; fundamentals, dividends, corporate actions, news, and the earnings calendar via a licensed market-data vendor; analyst ratings via a licensed ratings provider; and real-time equity and options market data via a licensed exchange -data vendor, with options quotes sourced from OPRA. Vendor attributions also appear alongside the relevant data where the provider's licence requires it.
